(Skip the fluff and order now!)
Many, many people have told me I should publish plans and instructions for building this tank. So... here they are.
These plans include 81 pages (6" by 9" for easy booklet printing) and 86 illustrations and photos. It covers hull construction, suspension assembly, track construction, motor selection and installation, even paint. Sources for parts (some of them decidedly non-conventional), and tactics for saving money are also included. EVERYTHING you need to know.
I tell you some of the mistakes I made, and how you can avoid them. I also include several thoughts on improving reliability, cost, and ease of construction of the design - things that I did not do, but would, if I were to do it over again.
Twelve sample pages are available here as a 172KB image showing the ratio of images to text. This section shows the constructon of the suspension, including the front and rear sprocket.
NOTE: I have not, however, included any information on making the pneumatic cannon, as that seemed like an awfully good way to get sued. If you build a pneumatic gun, you're on your own.
