In my dream, there's nothing that can get in lovers' way.
In my dream, the nights are clear with stars as bright as day.
In my dream, good friends stay friends and never turn their back
On other friends, and in my dream, of those there is no lack.
In my dream, the sun will never hide its face in cloud
And in ms dream, the moon is always shining, bright and proud.
In my dream, I've been in pain, but someone brought me back.
In my dream, he helped me see the light when all was black.
In my dream, the woods are filled with flowers, not with thorns.
In my dream, he loves me and to him my life I've sworn.
In my dream, if he were king, I'd always be his queen.
Above all else I wish that it were more than just a dream.
In my life, the stars are faded dull by city lights
As I sit alone and think of him on lonely nights.
In my life the winter's long; it costs to heat the house
And I feel small and pitiful, sort of like a mouse.
In my life the thorns are sharp. I think it really seems
If I was born for anything, that I was born to dream.
